Charles Zigmund - Trees at Giotto's Farm. Watercolor, 2011 The painter Giotto, a 13th century founder of the Italian Renaissance, was raised on a farm near Florence. He kept the farm in adulthood and his sons supervised it, though he himself lived in the city. My partner Erica and I visited it in 2011 and I painted this watercolor of trees on the property.
